All-Access Pass

i lucked out with my dad's freaky flier miles...and got to go to seattle this past weekend to Bumbershoooooooooooot (it's an urban arts festival featuring both visual and performance arts)!!!

while i could easily pen 500 more odes to the city i so dearly love and the weekend in general, i will instead show you the side of bumbershoot most people do not get to see...the acts that take place next to the samsung mainstage or behind the starbucks stage...rather than see the shins or eugene mirman, why not stop a moment and observe the ageless lady in the silver body paint and a fairy costume standing frozen like a statue occasionally doing the robot and freaking the crap out of passersby?? (i couldn't photograph her, i was afraid she would steal my soul...)

here were some other acts INSIDE BUMBERSHOOT.

MAGICIAN WHOSE MOST AMAZING TRICK WAS HIS HAIRDO (atleast in my opinion)

GIRL ON BALL PLAYING VIOLIN WITH PARENTAL GUARDIAN STANDING NEXT TO HER

SMALL BOY ON DRUMSET (can anyone say stage mom?)

also this was from a short film shoot some comedians did before bumbershoot...it has all the elements required for a great clip -- man in hawaiian shirt playing ukulele, man in boa and face mask singing, man in boa and a fez playing harp and random guy caught in middle of photo. PERFECTION.

this is paperface courtesy of my friend emmett montgomery. holy but terrifying.
